I’m finally done with #18, and I feel like I’ve just finished the sixth grade. Brilliant! When I first attempted this project in 2007, I had only completed North America, South America, and Europe. I dedicated a little more time to the project in 2008, by actually visiting some of the countries. ;)
In all seriousness though, after you’ve been to a region and have been using your guidebook and tracing your route, it’s so much easier to place countries!
The hardest continent for me to learn was Africa, especially the capitals! Even though I’ll probably forget a few, it’s nice to be able to place countries when I’m reading the news. For example, the recent pirate attacks off the coast of Somalia (which neighbors Ethiopia, Kenya, & Eritrea).
The List:
Europe
North America
South America
Asia
Africa
Australasia
