“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.” –Buddha
As I sit here on a plane somewhere between Portland, Oregon and Tampa, Florida, I’m thankful for a lot of things… planes (they fly you places), my passport (also an essential piece of transportation), being able to live in my favorite city (Portland), my awesome orange mixte (bike), food (I had an amazing dinner at Screen Door last night, with best friends), but most of all… I’m thankful for the relationships I currently have in my life… my ever-supportive and snuggle-able, little mustached kitteh, Essa; my fantastic, ever-patient and handsome boyfriend; my always encouraging, detail-oriented and supportive mother; my adventurous and hard-working dad (who’s spending this Thanksgiving in Nicaragua); my #1 bff my twin, who’s always there for me. always; my ever-optimistic and spontaneous brother; my blog-reading and feisty grandma; coworkers who truly care about their work and who I actually look forward to spending time with; and friends who are always up for adventures and/or a drink.
Hello, world. I love you.
What are you thankful for today?
